T4 + bashing =? - 07.29.2006, 01:51 PM

Hi !

I,m looking for a durabe and fun basher:018: I've lookt at traxxas stampede and ruster and they seem ok but they can't take brushless power without uppgrades and they are a'lot hevier than a t4.but stamedes seem very durable except from the drivetrain.

The t4 on theother hand lock mor fraigle and weaker ? is this tru ?

or can a t4 take a lot off beating aswell ?

The T4 would be worse than a Rustler as far as handling the BL power AND durability. The Rustler is almost bullet proof to begin with. All it needs is a idler gear from Traxxas thats like 5 bucks and a set of steel output shafts that are like 20 bucks. Thats it...that would be damn near bulletproof.

Have you considered an older associated car? I would suggest the RC10T2. Pede's and rusty's have nothing on that aluminum tub chassis!

In the long run a rustler will probaly end up costing a bunch of money. But it's a good car and fun to bash with.

Thats the exact opposite from what I've heard. I have heard numberous people say that its a bulletproof truck that needs minimal upgrades.

I have run a rustler /stampede set up and as long as you don't land with the throttle pegged it will handle some abuse, I have run a stampede with a ten turn motor and never had a problem. I would suggest a t3 as an alternative to the others, because its a modern design and still competitive on the track and more durable than a t4. I'm running a mamba 5700 on a t3 tranny that has never been rebuilt in 4 years and its handling it with no problems

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

A T4 is not tough at all, but the drivetrain is simply put. its amazing. i really want to put a T4 lower rear end onto a rustler, then it would be bulletproof
