Is anyone out there running UE diffs on there 9L with 14 cell packs? I'm probably going to order them this week and I'm currently running 51 tooth mod 1 spur with a 15 turn pinion and it seems a little to tall for my track. Since the UE diffs lower your overall gear ratio I was wondering if by adding the UE diffs would I still need to drop a tooth on the pinion?
im not sure, but i just got my UE diffs yesterday and they are soo sweet. very very smooth. i run the 8L on 12 cells. i am geared 18/66 with ue diffs and it seems like te perfect gearing for the track. the ue diffs have the same effect on your gears as droping two teeth on your pinion gear. if it only seemed like you were geared a little high, the ue diffs will make your gearing perfect
That's what I was hoping, so if I get the UE's I may actually go up to a 16 tooth pinion since I'm guessing a 14 turn pinion would be about right for the track on my current gearing. Did you get the 6 spyder or the 8 spyder diffs?
