Yeah, normal plane lvc's go to 0 percent.. since 0 percent is full reverse on pistol grips, i guess you can tell what will happen if it kicks in..

I know this thread is a little stale but I was looking for an alternate LVC other than the "li-saver" for my nearly complete Cen MAtrix since it seems a little harsh when it kicks in on my LST . This discussion made me look to see if there really was a "Car" version of this LVC and don't see anything but either "Opto: or "BEC" versions. http://www.flydma.com/catalog/produc...products_id=53
Only difference is the way the ESC is coupled up apparently but no mention of anything other than the airplane version that pulses the motor on and off when the voltage drops.I wonder now if my perceived harshness of this LVC isn't caused by Serums observation of the "0" positions of the pistol vs stick type radios.Does anyone have an alternative with perhaps a softer alarm ......slowing the truck gradually instead of trying to force it into reverse?? Thankfully reverse is disabled on my esc or I suspect things would be even worse with that LST tranny and 2 speed trying to go in reverse.:007:
Anyway Thanks
in Advance

OK... I cant really help you with the LVC question, but I am interested to hear the answer too.

However, I would love to see pictures of your Matrix conversion though. I love my Matrix conversion and Im interested to see how you did yours.

This is where I'm at.Waiting on the feigao 540c 8xl to get here and the new body to finish it off.I made the battery holder from carbon fiber 80/20 cloth laid up in 4 layers with a piece of depron foam sandwiched between the 2nd and 3rd layers on the bottom so I'd have some depth to cut holes for the mud guard nuts.I used a block of foam as the form and wrapped it with cling wrap to act as a release film and wrapped the outside tightly with the same stuff to give it at least a 1/2 baked finish.
The battery strap bolts are holding it to the deck as well as velcro on the inboard side to act as a sort of leveler.
I also epoxied together some carbon ribbon I had laying around to make the BEC/receiver mount to get them up off the deck.I need to find one of those antenna expansion nut doohickies that fit in a drilled hole or fabricate something for the antenna as well.

thanks

I like it. It looks good. With that CF battery tray and the layout it looks alot like mine. Looking forward to finding out how it runs. Keep us posted. What kind of lipó are you going to use?

How many cells can be used with this with this Li-Saver. Is it good for 4s applications?

Thats kinda my point.I can't find where there's a car specific version. Other than having an inline deans connector I don't see where the one sold here is any different in alarm function than the one shown on the makers page. The only diference there is either opto isolated or not.
Just looking for alternatives that perhaps don't go off so violently.Maybe it's specific to the LST and it's drivetrain but the dang thing bucks like it backfired or something when the LVC kicks in....

Thanks

Go to RC monster store and the car version is there as CHC said. I have drained mine to the limit. It just coggs then dies out. It didn't shoot into reverse or anything. FYI

Just curious: what is the volts/cell cutoff value of the Lisaver? Is it 3v?
