Well, a couple of months ago, Castle's customer service was the standard by which others were judged (that's the way I see it anyway). As of the last month or so, I've been having problems getting timely responses to emails and phone messages. I don't know what's up.

I do know a couple of people who have had problems with their MM systems, shortly after getting them, and they were sent new systems right away. I haven't had any such luck myself, but I haven't had a MM that I ran within spec either, so I've never been looking for warranty work.

If you do get a MM system, it is more than likely that you'll be satisfied with it. If you need warranty work, Castle has implemented a form system. You just fill out the form on the web, print it out, and send your stuff in with a copy of your receipt.

Other than that, I can't tell you anything more positive. I still like their stuff, but I am not as much of an avid Castle fan as I was a couple of months ago.

I haven't been that lucky lately. In fact, I sent a package in with two escs for repair and they're supposed to send me an email with a tracking number of sorts for my repair and I haven't heard from them. They've had the package for over a week.

Dunno if you saw this on their site, but:

Quote:
CASTLE CREATIONS CURRENT LEAD TIME FOR REPAIRS IS 14 BUSINESS DAYS.
Ya got another week to wait! ;) I agree tho, that's kinda a long time to be down if you break.

I'm not so much worried about the lead time as I am about the fact that they haven't even acknowledged the receipt of my package. From what I understand, I was supposed to get a confirmation email letting me know that they got my package and a reference number for my repair order. I haven't received anything from them yet. From my perspective, this is right on par with what I've seen from Castle recently. I do have to admit that I am not the Castle fan that I was a couple of months ago.

On the other hand, I have terrible luck with stuff like this. For me, if anything can go wrong, it will. I can't get through to Castle with questions, or actually, I just can't get any response. I've also ordered a Compro almost a month ago and still haven't been able to run that due to issues.

Serum, that is what I was thinking. It seems that their human resources are spread too thinly.

Either that or their focus is currently on the MMM. I'm sure they are tired of hearing "When is it going to be out?" emails, but that's what they get when they have the MMM splash page say "Coming soon" for the last 1,000 years. Soon to them must be in relation to the age of the universe...

Exactly. So "soon" IS true, just not to us.
