springs for brushless system

What should I use on the the stock shocks as far as springs. Will a dual rate spring work good for race, bash, and street. Or would I have to buy a 1000 spring set and change them everytime I go bashing, racing, jumping, street racing. When do you want a soft spring on. With brushless will I have problems with corners. Not shure what the applications for the different stiffness would be used for. help:)

Please give some details about your truck. If it is light, the stock springs will be fine for most applications. If it is tippy in the corners, lower your ride height and fill your shocks with heavier oil. I can give more specific tips once I have a clearer picture of your truck.

Prety much stock, exept for the brushless system (7xl with 9918). I have also purchased 18 gp 3300 batteries, bow tie tires with Velocity rims, also Road rage tires with RPM Monster Clawz Rims, stock tires with RPM Monster Clawz Rims, proline paddle tires with Imex Felon Rims, and 18 and 20 tooth pinion gears. I think that covers it (for now) I'm thinking I need to buy the 1000000 spring set for all the different types of driving I will be doing. Would be nice to be able to use one set of dual rated springs. The dual set of springs I was looking at are 3ppi and 7ppi. The other set is 8 differnt types of stiffness, total of 64 springs. I will be driving my maxx on the street, track, sand, dirt, grass, and of course the bigest jumps I can find.

18 cells will require a stiff spring. Dual rate springs should work well for you, as long as they are the right spring rates (pretty stiff for your set-up). If you still have the stock shocks, you will blow them pretty quick. You can use the same springs for different types of driving (not necessarily ideal, but it sure beats changing springs all the time). You can adjust preload and shock angles for different driving conditions. For heavy jumping, you will need a heavy shock oil, though.
