Haldir, that's a nice looking conversion. I'd just think about getting a motor clamp heatsink. That sink that you are using does nothing to support the motor. You may be surprised on day after a hard landing when the front endbell pops out of the motor.

looks really nice

but i see the problem with the motor, it is just floating ther
would be nice if someone did a reverse motor mount so the motor sat over the chassis, then it could be supported :018:

anyway, nice job

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind comments.

The truck has gone through some minor changes since my last post.

The reciever is now located on the front of the chassis, and it's been replaced by a Nomadio Transceiver. I found the XS3 system to be glitchy.

The motor has also been replaced with a Feigao 6 turm
540L 4096KV motor.

The BESC is a Mamba Max, the pinion gear is MEGA 12 turn, the steering servo is Hitec high torque titanium geared servo. The transmission is close ratio with the two speed. The spur gear is a stock 40 turn spur gear.
The wheels and tires are OFNA Blazer SST wide offset. The skull and bones front bumper is a Trinity. The battery is a TrueR/C 11.1 3S 8000 MAH Li-Po. The transmitter is the Nomadio 2.4 ghz with a binded transceiver. The motor mount is Mike's creation, it doesn't have the proper rear support so I have installed a zip tie to secure the rear.

The truck is very fast, and I love it!

The truck weights 10 pounds.
