Brushless Wiring Question - 06.11.2007, 12:04 PM

Hey i thought you couldn't directly soldier wires to motor tabs but in rccar mag pros have theirs directly wired from esc to motor with no connnectors...will this destroy the sensorless mamba? i have 3.5 mm connects so i'll be using those but i was just wondering

Who says you can't solder direct? That is always the recommended method, but makes disassembling stuff a bit more difficult.

Hmm. Sounds like a bit of misinformation, or like you said, misunderstanding. Direct soldering IS the path of least resistance, and therefore highest efficiency and power. Although some type of silver solder works best IMO.

Even if you don't direct solder, I'd get rid of those 3.5mm connectors. They have to lowest amp rating and loosen up pretty quickly.
