Lehner 1920 Good motor on 12 cells in revo? - 06.21.2007, 03:07 PM

Hey guys, I am trying to order my brushless soon and I found someone selling a Lehner 1920 with some 3100kv.

The calculator says at 12 cells I would exceed the motor rpm and there would be motor overheating. Is this an alright motor for an E-revo?

I can run as low as an 11T pinion with the 38t spur on 12 cells...

Let me know. This is my other option compared to waiting 20 some days for a fiegao 8xl motor.

THANKS!
-Pat

redhatman, the 1920 is going to be too small for a Revo. At minimum, you should be looking at the 1930. The best choice would probably be the 1940. A few have run the 1930 in trucks, but the smaller motor may run too hot, depending on how much your truck weighs.

I don't own any Lehners, but have been shopping around for one too, and the information that I've gathered has led me to the 1940/8 or 9 in the hi amp version.

well, the 1920 is the only motor I could get for a good deal. Thanks for the info.

That's usually the problem with good deals; they may be cheap, but just no real deal..
