Feigao Motor endcap separated from motor can - 06.23.2007, 10:59 AM

Mike,
I purchased a Feigao 9XL from you a couple of months ago. I finally finished building the trunk after getting lots of advice from folks in the formums. My first day at the track with the new T-Maxx Killer, the endcap (where the mounting screw holes are) separated from the motor can. Anything you can do to help or do I need talk to Feigao directly?

OldSoldier.

Actually this happens quite often. You can get THIS, which will solve your problem and help keep your motor cool. You can also JB Weld the endcaps back on.

One question though, do you have the 540c version or the smooth can version? If you have the 540c version then the heatsink clamp will not work and you have to JB Weld it back up.

Hope this helps!

Bye:018:

I have the type of can where the heatsink is part of the can as I recall. I was thinking JB Weld might be the answer. Thanks

For the 540c's, is there anything you can do to prevent the endbells from poping off in the first place?

You can make a clamp.

The front endbell on my 540C 7XL actually came loose on Monday, despite my JB-Welding it back on a number of months ago after it first came apart.

Clamp similar to the rc-monster heatsink clamp? Has anybody made one?
