Thats a great looking dog you have. Do you & him compete in anything like the weight pulling or frisbee stuff like wallace does ?. How much does he weigh ?.

We don't compete in any of the pulls, but we've been training in the back yard. I'm hoping to get him into the pulling, but we have a long way to go. Since he was a grown dog when we got him, he's a little harder to train for things he's had no training on as a pup, getting him to pull requires a hotdog or two at the finish line.:027: He weighs right at 60lbs.

That's light. You should meet Rocky. He weighs 92.2lbs!

Pit bulls are like guns. Both have inherent qualities which could make them dangerous. The owner/user is the one that makes the difference. Pete looks like a pal Cajun. You are lucky.

Pitbulls are definitely misunderstood. My brother had one for about a month and she was great, just didn't like other animals too much. My brother adopted her, as she was taken from his previous owners who were teaching her to fight. However, animal control came and took her away and put her down.

Here is my (family's) dog, Kobe. He's a Golden Retriever. He's about 3 and 1/2, weighs about 68 usually. He just had back surgery a month ago for a ruptured disk, so he's been confined to a small area downstairs until his 3 month recovery is complete. He's gained some weight since surgery, he's like 75 now. He's amazing - very well behaved, and unbelievably smart.

I love those pics above of "Pete", he looks like he's a laid back pooch.

I don't get why Pit Bulls have such a problem in society, any dog can be made aggressive, it isn't the Pit Bull. Any dog can maul a human pretty good if given a chance, it's not because they are trying to, they are animals, their anatomy is different than ours.

I think PB's are cool dogs, they look really awesome and are strong dogs, which probably makes for some good rough housing.
