Mm-8xl Problem - 09.07.2007, 12:04 PM

Im new to brushless and I have a MM on a 8xl with an external bec and I disabled the MM bec

when I turn it on and program the remote all goes well I think...then if I hit the throttle past 1/8 the motor doesnt work right it seems to be fighting itself studdering something horrible

I tried switching the motor leads around but no luck


can someone please help

What kind of batteries are you using and what voltage? Even CC says that insufficient batteries can cause the symptoms you describe.

Also, check all connections (motor and battery) for tight fit.

Does anything get hot?

ha ha i'm a c-5,6 quad myself!!! woot woot! what you're describing is cogging, if you give it a lil kick does it take off?? more voltage or a smaller pinion is the answer

the motor is doing this with no load...no pinion....12 cells just to test...I plan on running 14 cells...I called castle they said it might be interference from my bec...its 1" from the reciever....I will move it and give it a try when my hands get home from work....aka...my dad
