Winter in the Uk is just rain rain rain, so no winter running for me saddly. In the states where it actually still snows or so I gather, mounting the electronics inside balloons works (not the motor obviously).
Or a small plastic tub can house things; I have ven seen someone put a plastic shower cap over the truck's chassis to cover eveyrthing up and stop water/snow getting up side it, then put the shell on as normal or there abouts, Simplestadvice I have is to avoid mushy snow, puddles and yetis.....

The ideal thing is to have waterproof everything from the factory. But if you don't, then Plastic Dip works good on the servo, a balloon would work good on the receiver and motors don't need anything for protection from water/snow. For batteries, it helps to just cover the exposed ends with silicon gel or some kind of removable sealant. The ESC is the hard part. If you wrap them, they thermal or over heat very easily. If you don't, then they can break form water very easily... . So you best option would to just buy a water proof ESC like the Mamba, Mamba Max, MGM, etc.

I actually drove my BL RC18MT in the snow before with a Mamba 6800 and without waterproofing anything, and it worked just fine afterward.

Yes, I plan to do some great winter driving here in Canada. My modded Quark has a lot of surface area, and thermal mass, so it shouldn't thermal running with a shower cap, or what I use, those Glad elasto covers, which look like shower caps.

Yes, motor doesn't need to be covered, it will run cool at least!

Batteries, yeah, just get some electrical tape and cover the ends, a little water don't hurt it, especially when it's distilled water (from snow).

Just make sure you don't have a Feigao motor, and spin the heck out of your tires, you will very quickly over heat the motor and destroy it.

I know the Mamba is waterproof. A member here, BlackedOutRevo, said it has ran his FLM pede through snow and water and nothing has happened so far to the MM ESC.

I have ran in snow alot, my mm and warrier 9920 are unefected by the water, and my spektrum recievers also work great with no balloons. I dip the ends of my lipo packs in plastidip, that works great for them. And to keep my magnets from rusting to hell I seal around the wires with more plastidip. O and my hs-5955-tg servo is factory sealed with 8 orings.
