If your Neu doesn't have gromets? - 04.18.2009, 05:30 PM

If your Neu does not have gromets around the power wires coming out of the rear end bell, why not add them? Seemed simple enough. Your thoughts?

Looks good and simple to do. Where do you get those grommets? I have a bunch but can't remember where I got them. I usually just use an extra layer or two of heatshrink.

Gromets came from Lowes. They're over priced and I expect you could get a handful from ebay for much less.

That looks real nice. I did a couple layers of heatshrink as well. You do plan on heatshrink on those plugs I hope.

Yeah, already done. I had the idea to stick some grommets in there AFTER I had the connectons done. I unsoldered the bullet connectors, put the grommets in, and put the connectors back on.

hey william whats the size you used? i need to do this when i wire my truggy tomorrow, and those gromets look better than my split fuel tubing on my wires....

sucks the race got postponed till next sunday but you should have your lipos by then.

Package says 11/32 OD x 1/8 ID
They are a tight fit and take a bit of work to get in. Worlds easier if you have the endbell off, put the grommets in, and lastly put the wires through.
