Steel Idlers use grease? - 11.02.2007, 12:33 AM

Hey I just got some of the steel Idlers for my emaxx (stripped an old one) and am realizing that there is now metal to metal in the gear box. Should I use grease? I'm afraid to do so because I've heard negative things about nylon gears and grease.

I used to grease mine. Never had a problem. I say it cant hurt, but you only need a light coating.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

You need to use grease, the tamiya ceramic grease works well on metal to metal contact and makes the mesh feel very smooth too.
