could i use it in cars and trucks with a pistix adapter? but geez, 12s lipo capability with 100a current and all that for $100? would this work? lol

Yeah, it seems ok spec-wise... as long as you plan on using a servo brake, and you know for sure your burst current will stay at or under 110A.

I've been pretty curious about that ESC also.

I can't wait for the ESC's to come out that have this kinda voltage/current capability with CAR programming/brakes.

well it does have a 12month warranty on it. and the reviews seem good. maybe this might be my next esc for me next project.

I bought about 10 of them... I love them...
all you have to do is add more caps.... they run pretty cool too... and put some high temp silicon on the base of the caps.. and they're perfect... works well with the PiStix.. and if you do get it.. get the programming card.. saves you lots of time...

well, i found a problem, id like to run this with a neu motor, but the max current for the neu i want to run is 110a, while the burst current is only 110a on this esc. is that a problem? can you give me the best motor choices thatll work with this esc no problems? thanks!

Does this ESC have any kind of brakes at all?

I guess they work well with outrunner motors, being an Air ESC and all.

How many volts do you plan on feeding the neu?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 110 amp rating is at 12 Series Lipo.

With heat buildup, it takes so many watts of power to build that heat. So would 110 amps at (12S) 43 volts loaded be the same as 180 amps on 6 Series Lipo?

A high quality motor then a cheap ESC... That is wierd. I would say if you got money for a Motor.. you should find hte money for a good ESC. Now if you were building a 1/10 scale stadium, and using a fieago motor then I could understand

Why? if you got mechanical brakes, and you want to run efficient with a HV setup, what makes a think a more expensive controller is also better?

What KV neu are you thinking about?

i have a Lehner 1940/7 hi amp motor that works flawlessly with a MM esc. granted, i don't consider the MM as 'cheap', but it sure doesn't cost as much as a MGM, etc.

I use mechanical brakes... the ESC does have some kind of brakes.. Drag brakes or something.... I know it's rated for 100 Amps continuous.. but it's running in my Savage-X with a 7XL without any problems... since this esc is so cheap, I run low KV motors with high voltage to compensate for the 100A continuous drainage... so far, I fried only one.. I had a rock stuck inbetween the center diff and the chassis... but I kept on givin' her full throttle.... (it was at an apple festival.. so we had a big crowd).. the bigger the crowd, the heavier my finger gets.. I don't know why...
I honestly like mechanical brakes, since most of my conversions are stock nitro -----> brushless.... you don't need motor brakes or reverse.... it's all built onto the tranny...

anyways.. I've used the ESC, and it works great... !

well im thinking about the neu 1515 2y, 2.5d, or 3d. which would be the best of these on 6s-8s lipo?
