Difference between locked posi diff Vs normal diff in the front? - 12.08.2007, 06:39 PM

I have an emaxx, and had just destroyed the front diff. It was an aftermarket diff too. It took out everything. (Self destruction because the hardware loosened up)
I want to know if it is alright to use the posi diff in the front? If it will be good or bad? Or, should I just put back the normal diff with bevel gears?

In my Opinion, it would be bad unless you're doing straight line sand drags.

Anytime you lock a Diff, it's at the cost of turning ability.

It is for this reason, thicker or thinner oil is used around the spider gears to adjust how much slippage there is.
