HV EMaxx BL System - 12.18.2007, 03:34 PM

Hi,

after finishing my e-revo i am going to reanimate my emaxx.
Because i am using 4s Lipos in my E-Revo i want to use an 8s setup
in the emaxx.

I thought of using either a LMT 1950/12 or Neu 1512 2y.

But i do not know which controller to use for this setup. I already used a BK Warrior controller in the emaxx ( with a feigao 8L ) but this was not comparable to the quark pro in the e-revo...

I could use a Jazz 55-10-32, a MGM Controller or a .... ?

I tried to use the search but was not able to find an hv emaxx setup.

TIA, mabu

The only car/truck esc that can do 8s are the MGMs, or the Jazz you suggested.

Does somebody use the "MGM TMM 9032-3 Car" and can share some experiencies? starting, brake and control mode. i used a bk warrior 15020 and a quark monster pro now - the monster has a very fine control mode compared to the bk controller ...

I read that the Jazz Controller has bad behaviors at starting...

I think all MGMs behave in the same way really, regardless of amp & cell limits. They are said not to be as smooth as the Quark, and can go into reverse by accident if you hit the brakes when driving slowly. Still, they are a good and robust esc by all accounts, and easy to program if you by the pc cables.

Yes, the MGM are good for me for Nitro --> BL conversions... especially when using it with a big powerful motor, it really kills the driveline... and very jerky.. smoothest controller, I have ever used would be the schulze line of ESCs... just too bad, they like committing suicide... the schulze 40.160Wk is still my favourite ESC... I should have never sold them ...
