Well, I must admit that MMA and RC are my two afflictions
I don't know if many people here know what MMA is. Its Mixed Martial Arts such as the Ultimate Fighting Competition. MMA is a combat sport that utilizes striking such as boxing, kick boxing and muy tai as well as ground work such as wrestling and ju jistu.

My brother-in-law and I started watching the UFC when it started back in 1993. It was pretty barbaric back then since it was basically no holds barred but now has become a great regulated sport in many states.

I always check out sherdog.com for the latest news and listen to the beatdown radio show each week.

I'm having a whole bunch of people over to watch UFC 79 on Dec 29th as a kind of Pre-NYE party.

Wow, Thats a tough one to call. Liddel has lost his last two fights, one by KO, and Silvia lost his last two by devastating KO's.
Styles make good fights so this one should be a barn burner. If it goes past the first round I don't like Chuck's chances. So...
If it ends in the first round it will most likely be from a looping over hand right from Chuck
If it goes past the first round Silvia takes this one

How do you see this one?

We get to see the fights overseas (Europe) through AFN network. Sometimes they show it live, but it may be on the following day. We get the UFC and the IFL - International Fighting Leage presented by the Armed Forces Network free. I would bet on Chuck for the main event. I think he either has to show up for the win or retire once and for all. three straight losses will finish him in the UFC. He is really getting too old to keep this up anyway.

Both Wandy and Chuck really need a win but unfortunately only one will get the W. Chuck is getting up there in age but who knows, he could always move up to heavy weight and give that weight class a try. Look what Randy Coutoure did and he's 43.

Im going for Silva just because he has been my favorite fighter for a couple years now. It is nice that we get it for free on AFN but the time delay can be annoying.

I'm always for Silva since he was in the first pride fight that I watched and he destroyed the guy. So I give him the credit for getting me interested in it.

The new guys are pretty amazing but I have to admit I miss the old days of Ken Shamrock and the Gracie family. Those guys were incredible.

I'm into it, have a couple buddies that train here. I've done some ground work with them, it's some tiring stuff. I'd like to get into it but I just wanted two of my friends get hurt. One broke a rib, the other broke his nose and got multiple concussions.

Seeing as that Chuck only has one trick up his sleeve (well two if you count his take-down defense), I don't really see things going Chuck's way unless Silva gets caught slippin'
