Losi 8 conversion esc - 02.18.2008, 07:32 PM

I have converted a Losi 8 into a brushless buggy. I am running a feigao 8XL brushless motor and a 6s 5000mah lipo pack, I now need to upgrade my esc and was wondering which one to choose a Quark monster pro or a MGM compro 160 amp 18 cell brushless car controller this is the $145.00 dollar one I'm not sure what the difference in the other MGM compro other than nimh cell limit. Thanks for any info you can give.

The Quark Monster Pro doesn't seem to like 6s very much even thought it is rated for it. So I'd go for the MGM. Everybody seems to be liking it very much. Or of course you can wait a couple weeks for the MMM, if it actually does come out in March like its supposed to....

Where in the world can you get a MGM 16018 for 145 bucks?

It is supposed to be about $300 for the whole system.... not exactly sure how much for just the ESC.

At this point I would wait for the MMM. If it is anything like the MM it will be so much better then the MGM. The MGM software just seems a little quirky to me.
