Need some suggestions. -

Recently I've gotten back into the bug of buying a bigger badder car and making it brushless on 12 cells. I need something new so I put up my mf1 and LEhner 4200 on the forums for sale.
Now, the dilemma is that I see two ways I can take this project.
1. I buy an Ofna MBX r2, and get the ofna plastic spur (not the nylon one, the $7 one :) ) . After that it's pretty much a piece of cake. I would use associated battery cups and get the mount cnc'ed by coldfusion.
2. I buy a dominator/pirate hybrid truggy and get a different ofna plastic spur for the truck. Now, these diffs are known to have a slipper clutch, so that'd be a great advantage right? I'm guessing that I'd have enough space to mount my two battery pack holders again, and I could probably use the same mount designed for the mbx series of cars with some modification, or mock one up myself:eek:
For either, the powerplant would be 12 gp3700 cells on a Lehner 2400xl and MGM 80. My first concern is that the controller would be able to handle the load. I've been assured by Mike, and the numbers seem to work out. Eacn senario would cost around the same amount of money, although the truggy may require a tad more work to get converted.
After driving a brushless xxx-t with a lehner 4200, i'd like to match that speed and the awesome torque in the grass. But I'd like to have a little more ease going through the grass and be able to tackle the park. Thanks for your input.
