backslash is driving like crap - 04.06.2012, 06:49 PM

Hey guys havent been doing much posting here.. darn college.

My buddy traded me his backslash a week or so ago and it came with the vxl3s system the velinion 3500 motor (I assume its this motor.. looks just like it)

I havent used any of my batts for probably 6 months to a year, but the last time I used them they were perfectly fine. Ive had 2 of these lipos for over 2 years with no real problems at all. (Thanks lincpimp!)

When I charge up the batts and everything they will take roughly 2-3000 mah -they are 4k and 5k packs- and hold the correct voltage, but when I pop them in this backslash they drive around for maybe 5 seconds then just die. ESC acts as if the LVC has been hit.

I turned off the LVC and used some 2100 3s packs and ended up puffing the lipo to death for who knows why.. it was driving slow but I knew it had more than 10 seconds of power.

Basically the ESC functions properly but every battery I test is horribly slow and the ESC never allows it to run for more than maybe 10 seconds.

All of these batts are old and I was thinking about getting some new ones just to see if it was the batts but does anyone else have a better idea?

NOTE: The ESC does not even recognize a nimh that is probaly 4 years old. The pack charges up, and when I do a tongue test it has power..

Ill get a vid up if needed.

Thanks everyone!
