Does anyone have an extra red jumper? - 01.13.2006, 02:42 PM

Hi

I drove my emaxx for the first time in June. I lost the red jumper on the first run. I havent run the truck since. Do any of you have an extra red jumper for the 9920 that you coul sell me.?

Thanks

I'm sorry, but I myself dont have an extra jumper, except for the one from the kontronik 40-6-18 esc and I dont know if it will fit in the 9920.

You could use the black jumper if you're not using the internal BEC.It's the same(only black).

I used the black jumper yesterday. Howwer th controller seemed to be running very hot with it. IU figured it needs the red jumper specifically?

The color of the jumper shouldn't matter.

If you have an electronics store near you, stop in there with your speed controller and ask them if they have a jumper that would fit the spot you want it to. I'd expect they can help out.

Also, consider that all a jumper does is close the electrical circuit so you could even (carefully) solder a small piece of wire between the two poles to complete the circuit. Removal isn't as easy as a jumper, but it's less likely to fall off.

Electronics run on smoke... if you let the smoke out, they stop working.

As long as the pin spacing 0.100", it should work. Most jumpers anywhere are that size.

Yeah, the computer jumpers are good to use.. Not the tiny jumpers used on scsi hdd's and cd-roms, just the big same sized jumpers on the mainboard/IDE cd-rom players..

If you have an old motherboard laying around. You can use the jumpers that reset the BIOS. Obviously, don't pull it out from a working computer.
