Besides Promod, has anybody else replaced the tranny with a center diff yet? Anybody run into problems with having no slipper? Any kits available yet? I'm thinking of going to center diff only also, but would like to find a center diff that was actually ball diff to allow for slight slippage to protect the drivetrain a little.

In an application like that, I dont think you would be able to set up a ball diff to slip without it melting itself.

Candyman has done a conversion, it's easier than people think, but you need a dremel at hand.

Coolhand_country has done one of his trucks with a center diff. Candymans is a slipper clutch and i'm not sure if Promod is a diff or a slipper

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I'm doing a center diff conversion myself as we speak.(well planning anyway).

I got a nice idea of how to mount a 2 speed center diff w/ strobe slipper, but the thing is it will be way undergeared.(the smallest gear for the 2 speed is something like 48 tooth, the smallest on the strobe slipper is 51 t. Will need either a massive pinion or do without the slipper)

If your not into jumping much you don't need a slipper. I'm going center diff only, no slipper, I do jump, but if you take the throttle off before you land there isn't a problem.
