Pinion the wrong way round?! - 10.25.2009, 06:12 AM

Can one of you guys just take a look at the picture that shows the motor and pinion, it feels like it's the wrong way round but when I put it the other way round then it doesn't mesh as well and also the flat on the motor shaft doesn't go back far enough? Looks a little odd to me, but seems to mesh well with the spur?

the pinion can go on both ways as long as it meshes and is secure. Motor mount is Shiney !! hehe

Yep, my 8T build is almost there and I'm gagging to get it running!! I have a load of nitro mates who are watching this with a very keen eye!! I think I might be their guinea pig

Yeah like they said can go either way, but on the 8T you can use mikes front motor cover which you dont need being a CC motor and not a neu with open holes, but the front cover makes it so you can put the pinion the other way (normal) and it fits.

Is it normal that on the 8T with the RC-M mount that the can of the CC motor is almost touching one of the mudguard screws? Worries me a little, as with some chassis flex then it could thump the can a bit? Worth removing or trimming that screw or am I being paranoid?
