Weird: My throttle stays on for a second after I release the trigger? - 10.21.2009, 06:41 PM

Something weird happened today at the track. My throttle seems to be staying pinned for a second or two after I release the trigger on my TX.

My set-up:
- Futaba 3pm Fsst (nothing has been tweaked on it for the majority of the summer ).
- Throttle trim at 0
- Tekin 2000kv combo (has been running like a champ since late July.
- 4S
-MBX6T

I did adjust the timing in Hotwire this morning (turned it down to 0 because of the Hyperon g3 batts power), but that's it. Upon further inspection, I noticed the sensor wire is bent at a weird angle now, and is showing signs of wear. Could this be it? I am not sure.

Made it real hard to jump. I am used to it being perfectly level, however now that it's sticking, it jumps nose high slightly, because of the extra second of throttle.

Have you ever heard of this happening?

Just removed the sensor wire, and still, the same thing. In my basement I would drive it slow, then brake, then it would lurch forward another 6 inches or so. Same with accelerating, after I let off, it still goes.

Not sure here.

Check push control or increase your throttle dead band in the ESC.

Actually it sounds a l ot l ike what push control does...

Do you have a different ESC to try, like a MM or MMM?

Yes, it was the Push Control. Ooops. I "must have" moved that slider as I was adjusting my timing (right next to each other in Hotwire software).

Thank god it was an easy fix.
