Tamiya 801 XT Brushless - 07.05.2009, 10:15 AM

Hi,

Well I'm back, and looking at converting a 801XT over to brushless. so for I have the mamba Max/2200, Jr 8711 servo
found a 801XT.
now for the questions.....

does Mike make a motor mount for the 801XT???

will the Slipperential fit in the 801XT????? (I can't be the 1st one to build one)

What size batteries do you run in your truggies ???? (hoping for 15/20 minute mains)

any other motor/speedo combos I shoud be looking at??

Thanks

Tim

Blueb8llz:

Hi,

After seeing the Brushless buggy run this weekend I gotta build a Truggy. and this is the one for me as I really like Tamiya cars. I just have to find out if Mike makes a motor mount for it yet.
and what size pack(s) I should get.
I'll post pics of the build here when I start it. I'll try to get plenty of them up.

Thanks

Tim

I don't make a mount specifically for the Tamiya, but I am not opposed to it. I would need the car preferably, but the center diff section and some pictures of the car would be sufficient as well. :)

Judging by the other TRF801X (the buggy) that has been converted, a Mugen mount may fit - you'll need to ask him.

This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

as I understand the mugen fits at the bottom, but abyie custom made a new top plate for the center diff out of carbon fiber... I would be interested in a mount/kit!

Does the same top plate work with the mugen mount, or did you custom build one?
