Fan Question

I've been on a bit of a break...haven't touched the rcs in over an month but i'm just now getting back in. I gave up on my RROD xbox 360 after a failed towel trick attempt and I got a new one for $90....i'm happy. I have a decent sized fan and I was wondering though, I don't want the RROD to happen again so would putting the fan on it help OR should I up a small PC fan on there to pull out the hot air. Blow in cool air or pull out hot air....whats your advice?
