LBA10s won't stay in charge mode...? - 04.16.2010, 02:38 PM

I've been charging my Neu 2s packs hooked together with two LBA10 balancers on my 1210i for a few months now. I have two 5000 packs and two 4100 packs and can't get the 4100s to stay in charge mode. I hook everything up, press the mode button, and all LEDs shut off after that. Doesn't do it with the 5000s (which are older) and these are pretty fresh lipos, under 10 runs on them. What is going on? I've tried charging just one pack and it still does it. I'm ready to throw them across the yard it's getting frustrating. I want these to work on my trip this weekend so I have multiple sets of batts!!!

Also check the balancing plugs on pack for corrosion. Pins may not be making contact.

I plugged the packs into my RC8T, they seem fine. Still, these are nearly new and I use a LVC so I don't know why they'd be doing this.

You've got a disconnected balance tap wire....

Cut away the heatshrink and check it out or return for warranty

Yea man, no problem good luck with your issue.

A few fine solders and a little electrical tape is all you'll need provided it is a balance tap problem.

Well it looks like a problem with the 1210i or the LBA10s. I couldn't charge anything out camping this weekend and that includes my Hyperion packs as well.

I'll test the charger with my Rx pack and see how it does.

My 1210i will charge my NiMh Rx pack just fine, but it still won't charge the lipos when using the LBA10s. One of the LBA10s won't even light up when hooked to a battery.

I have the LBA10s in Lipo mode and I'm pressing the mode button after connecting, like I always have, to put them in charge mode.

What gives?

Got it fixed. One of my LBA10 wires had broken inside the insulation. I'm not sure why it would stop the other LBA10 from working separately but it's working fine now.
