Upping Cells - 04.28.2006, 09:24 AM

Well, I'm going to redo my ole IB's, but now since i have them apart, i'm looking at going with 20 cells now...why not! The problem i see with that is fitting them in the stock chasis. Any ideas on how to do this? Maybe go 18?

You can make them 6 cells and than add the extra 3 cells onto the top, so its like a hump, you need GMAXX straps for that to work, everything else should be fine.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Well make sure it don't hit the trans. You have to do a weird kind of pack. I not sure how it would work out. I seen one with the 3 cells run down the side of the pack.

Would you happen to have a link where i could figure something out? I thought about going down the side, maybe just do them along the side like the end one would be with the 14 cell pack? hmmm, i'll hump them i think instead, might be easier, just get straps! that sounded kinda bad i guess huh?!

i have seen people cut the bottom slots out of the stock chassis and put the extra cells on the bottom instead of top for a lower cg.
