Merry christmas rcm - 12.23.2011, 05:42 PM

Merry Christmas to everyone on RCM. Best regards to all of you and your families, and may your holiday season be a very special one. Even through some pretty tough times we have endured and made it through another year of worldwide chaos and turmoil. Life is good.

Also here's to a wonderful New Year 2012 for all of you. If you drink on 31/December please don't drive. Use a designated driver, hire a taxi, or call a friend and get home safely.

Wheres the snow? - 12.24.2011, 07:27 AM

Chrsitmas (Eve)! why yes it is, imagine that, and yes that is Christmas too.

No snow? Yea me to. It has flurried a few times in the past week, but from all reports this is unusually odd weather not to have had snow by this time of year here in Prague. Its like Mother Nature is confused and cannot figure out what to do anymore. It is in the 20f range one night, and the next it will be near 50f. Our van has only been frozen over about three times so far this year.

The kids got up early this morning wanting to know when they could open their first present. Man times have changed. We got excited when we were kids to, but we never asked our parents about opening presents before Christmas. We just did what we were told, and were actually grateful for watever we received. I saw some news yesterday about all te fighting going on over the re-release of Nike's Air Jordans, as well as all of the little kids asking for I-Pads as if they were meant to be kids toys. I see 6 & 7 year olds carrying I-Pads around while they ar talking to their friends on I-Phones. Its really gotten crazy.

Neither did we - 12.24.2011, 10:33 AM

Yea we have had to purchase so much throughout the year that we decided not to buy anything for ourselves for Christmas this year. I had already gotten the wife a 64gig I-Pad that she has been using for two months so she is good to go. The boys each received a Mac-book Pro because they had to have them in order to attend the international school (at over $1600 each). Luckily their tuition is covered by the US Department of State at nearly $20K each. So we stuck mostly with clothes this year for gifts. But the boys are getting I-contolled helicopters. They can use either their Mac-books, their I-touch's, or an I-phone which neither of them have yet. Just being together as a family in Prague will have to do for this year. We are taking them to London in Feb for a week.

Merry Christmas, and happy holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas.

Huge news: I've been separated from my youngest son for 8 years. He is 10 and I last saw him when he was 2. He was only 2 months old at the time of my accident. The accident separated his mother and I, she got into drugs, her parents got custody, yada yada yada.

Flash forward to now and Isaiah (the son I'm referring to) is back living with his mom. I've been writing to Isaiah and sending him gifts. Last night my parents got to meet him! They went and dropped off the gifts they had for him. As soon as I am off bed rest, I will meet him and be reunited with my boy!!!!!

I get my oldest (Caleb, 15) for 4 days. Sun-Thurs. I am stoked for his visit

I get the best present I can think of- my boys!

That's great news Harold.

I spent 10 days over Thanksgiving sitting in a hospital room keeping my wife company while she had numerous heart tests and finally had a defibrillator implanted. She is doing well and is currently making a cherry pie for tomorrow. So we are really happy to have the Christmas holiday to celebrate with our family - Daniel (age 7) is getting a new bike (I assembled it last night and it is currently hidden on our bathtub). Anna (age 5) is getting an American girl doll.

Merry Christmas to all!

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

That is great news Harold! Congrats to you and your boys... Glad your wife is doing better Brian....

We never buy for each other because we usually just get what we want throughout the year so we always just treat our kids to cool stuff cause you only get to be a kid once! Then life gets a hold of ya and.....well you know the rest...

Austin is getting a new PC, Newegg had it shipped the day we ordered it. He is very excited for it to arrive. They had it scheduled for early delivery yesterday and then they update it to Tuesday..... Way to get his hopes up UPS!

Zane is getting a iPad and that is just about it. Well Santa is bringing him a Nerf Sniper and the New Disc Nerf Gun.....I forget the name of that one.

Katie is getting the mother load of Littlest Pet Shop items.....

ahhh to be a kid again.....wait....I still am! I have some of the best RC's I have ever had and could not be more grateful I am alive to enjoy them! In fact I just opened up my new Tekin Hotwire so I can hook it up to my Red/Black Lightning.....so Xmas has begun !

Harold you are an inspiration for the rest of us. Just knowing what you have to deal with on an every day basis is humbling to say the least. I feel for you Bro. Looking at life from my perspective compared to your situation I have absolutely nothing at all to complain about in my life. I have had some tough times to get through, but looking back they are nothing. Harold you are a good man. I hope your sons can grow up with you close to their hearts. We wish you happiness and hope for the future, along with lots of love.

Neil you need Jesus.
