UE CVD Damaged..ideas on repair? -

While ripping my truck down for a clean and general service I noticed one of my rear cvds has become damaged. The drivepin that goes through the dogbone part has shifted over to one side :( I was wondering if theres any trick to moving it back? I've tried whacking it with a hammer but it doesn't want to budge. If I leave it like this I suspect I'll end up needing a new cvd and diff outdrive soon.
Also, does anyone know for a fact if the cvd in the picture is UE? I think it is. I have 3 of them, and 4 hubs for them which use oversize bearings. Would love to purchase a 4th one if anyone has one spare :)

have you tryed heating it, when metal heats up it expands and then try moving it. if it works cool it down and it should stay put.
Are you shure that part of the pin hasn't cracked off that one side looks ok to me.

It don't look like no ue cvd. Looks more like another cheapo brand. I had a set like that. my truck broke them up. Did they come with the knuckles to?

Those look like they might be RDL? There certainly not UE because UE has a hexagon and a special hub to eliminate the pin.

Well at least I know what they aren't :) Yes I have some special alloy hubs for them. I had a pair of RD Logics but my truck destroyed them pretty quick.
I'm certain the pin hasn't been cracked off, I compared it to another one and its quite a bit longer on one side. I'll try heating it up later with a small blow torch and see what happens.

These pins are pressed in place. It takes quite some force. You could use the vice and a piece of steel/aluminium that has got a hole in it. Usually when the pin gets this loose this easy, something is wrong with the shaft. Don't heat the shaft. It's heat treated and will loose strength when you heat it too much.
I replace these pins every now and then, but its uncommon that they pop out like that.

Do you have any ideas on who might have made them? A friend of mine has the UE cvds with the strange hex's and mine are a lot lighter than them. They ride on some odd size bearings - 12x18x4 for the inner & 6x15x5 for the outer. The hubs that come with them are a quality peice and are lighter than the Integy's I had. Smoother too.
Thanks for the advice regarding heat, was just about to go do that as well. I'll put a hole in a scrap bit of metal and try pressing it back with my vice.

It does indeed. See attached picture - the bearings ride where I drawn the white circles.
So I have Revo hubs & cvds? Nice.

Yeah, cool, that's revo for sure! with the new arms, you can also use revo sliders, which are very, very tough.. (and FAT in terms of diameter!)

Can revo sliders connect to UE diffs? If so that would solve all my problems.
By new arms, do you mean Maxx 3.3 arms? If I fitted these with revo sliders, would my car remain the same width or get wider/narrower?

Yeah, you need to get an extra set of the stubaxles though.. Here, check it out;

Double check the size on your output shafts though, they need to be 6mm, some buggy diffs use 5mm shafts.

those shafts are not revo cvds. They are made like them. I had a set and they broke.

Just had it in my vice, and its shifted the pin back into place nicely, thanks for the advice :)
Still curious as to who made my cvds, they actually feel good quality and have withstood a few runs on 20 cells so can't be that bad. I've had other cvds like RDL ones that I've just destroyed even on 12 cells.
