basher savage. - 08.10.2006, 11:16 AM

finally.. finished my savage.

The thing that boughtered me was that the normal motormount (as bought in the kit) sits too high, and i like a somewhat lower CG.

With a lower CG motormount, man sacrifices the ease of adjusting the mesh between the spur and the pinion. this mount enables me to adjust the gearmesh very easy.

The brace beneath the motor (8XL), holds the motor inline with jumps and bumps..

the controller is a 9920 and also used in some other cars.. so i made a holder that is an easy drop in (two M3 locknuts), and it can be moved between the vehicles.. underneath the controller sits a small footprint UBEC.

The plug on the schulze receiver (lucky me, it didn't caught fire yet) is for swapping the receiver with other vehicles as well... (cheap dutchies)

overall, i really like the car.. suspension acts cool too, it flies, landings are okay, and the suspension is smooth/low enough for a bit of racing.

the 2speed transmission with a mechanical brake and the 2nd speed kicks in at about 12-15 km/h

here are more pictures.

for the body; thanks overtki11! i didn't like the way the body sits on a savage, Waaaaay too high..
