hey mike can the warrior 9918 with a xl3100 be used in a boat or an airplane, and not just in a car ?

Sure it can. The software is different for a plane, though. Airplanes and boats don't have or need strong brakes. The controller would still work fine, but there are plane and boat specific controller available for these applications.
