I have FLM working on a cnc tranny case, as Serum mentioned. It will be a couple weeks at least, though. FLM has recently released an aluminum tranny case for the pede/rustler, which is pretty sweet.
I would like to know when someone will come out with an auto shifting 2 speed e-maxx tranny. Or even better yet, an auto shifting 2 speed e-maxx tranny with a built-in center differential like the cen genesis.
Just day dreaming. I guess I'll stick with my custom home grown creations...
I was going to try and put a tmaxx tranny on an emaxx. You will have 2 speed auto shifting tranny with brake to. I just haven't figured out motor mount yet.
Peace!

This is true but you'd basically be exchanging your shifting servo for a braking servo. Also, if the center diff was installed along with the 2 speed you could adjust your braking for front and rear accordingly. I have ran my g-maxx with a tmaxx tranny and my e-revo with the revo tranny with great success and driveability.
I completed my E-revo center diff solution but blew my front diff on the first test run. I think it was already ready to go anyways. I'm thinking that the aluminum Revo diff case you sell may help my E-Revo diff munching problems. Do you think this will help?
I'll post pics when I get the new diff's installed etc.
coolhandcountry,
If you'd like, I can send you pics of my t-maxx tranny with emaxx motor mount. It mounts quite nicely to the t-maxx tranny case. I ended up mounting the t-maxx tranny backwards on the g-maxx chassis. I don't think it will fit the stock emaxx chassis though.
If this is what you want to do I'd recommed getting the gmaxx chassis.
Hopefully you have a drill, dremel, and files.
I have the g maxx chassis. I would like to check out your pics. Always like new ideas. I was thinking about running a four channel controler so the brakes would be on ther own control. I always trying to come up with something.
Peace!

Mike is right on the aluminum diff cups. I have run a 7 xl nemisis on my truck with standard gears. It holds up very well. I would recommend them. Mike uses them so you know they have to be good.

Here's some pictures of my original g-maxx before I made the transition/conversion to the E-REvo!
This setup worked very well but I could not seem to dial in the suspension, bump steering etc. The Evo was the solution to my MT experience (hence my sig). The tmaxx tranny took the abuse of the brushless system well. With that said, the Revo trans takes the abuse just as well. You can see in the pics that the tmaxx trans is installed backwards on the gmaxx chassis with an extended brake rod (I used piano wire). With a few holes drilled in the emaxx motor plate and tmaxx trans, you can mount the plate directly to the tmaxx tranny. This setup was bulletproof
