X1 CRT Steering Servo? - 02.24.2007, 10:24 PM

Hey guys, I have a question about which of two steering servos is best for the Jammin X1 CRT truggy. Both are Airtronics. One is the 94359z, and the other is the 94360.

Thanks!

If you will be racing, I'd recomend the 94360. But if you are bashing, then the 94359 will be better for the extra torque.

Ok, thanks. Mostly it will be for racing. Occasional bashing too I guess. The thing is - I own both of them and I'm trying to decide which one to sell. Is there going to be much of a noticeable difference between the two in regards to speed? The specs are:

94359: .13/60 degree @ 4.8v & .10/60 degree @ 6.0v
94360: .9/60 degree @ 4.8 v & .7/60 degree @ 6.0v

Is that small amount really that much? I'm new at those kind of numbers so they don't mean much.

It will be very hard to tell the speed difference. What you will be able to tell is the torque while you are bashing. As it will put more strain on it when you are in sand fro example and you need that extra umph to wiggle yourself out.

Well, I think that means I'll keep the higher torque then. Just to be safe.

Thanks for your help!

Just FYI... the biggest new thing in servos right now is the Ace (thunder tiger) servos. Everyone loves them, and they are cheaper than the big names. It's the next servo I am getting, guys say they are super smooth.

The 1313 is pretty nice for uner $80 .13 and 173oz
The 1013 is even better for @$90 .10 and 201oz
