Compatablity of gears for Tmaxx and Revo - 10.01.2007, 11:44 PM

I notice the Tmaxx and Revo have a similar slipper clutch if not the same could we use a Revo gear and install this to the Tmaxx slipper and use a Mod 1 pinion instead of a 32 pitch pinion? Is the gearing the same or will this effect the performance?

The 2.5R (latest ones) and 3.3 Tmaxx have the same internal gearing as the revo and are interchangable. The older Tmax trannies are not. From the 2.5 back are not the same

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Thanks for the info the 3.3 Tmaxx with the gray housing do seem to have the same or similar slipper clutch not sure about the 2.5. So as you say I should be able to use the revo gears and keep my revo and tmaxx BL using the mod 1's. Would anyone know of any disadvantages of doing this maybe the gearing ratio would be off?
