No point looking, the info that they link to is wrong. They are talking about the new a123 pack that is a similar size to a std 6 cell stick pack. Does anyone have a link? I have only seen the pack in a rc mag, that did not have much info.

I saw the same thing in the magazine. They are a123 2s2p 1100mah cell packs. So 2200mah packs that fit where a stick pack fits. Just a premade version of the black and decker battery packs. You can build your own from the black and decker packs for $40. $70 that the guy is claiming doesnt sound like much of a deal to me.
I havent found any reference to it on the web yet though.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Brick A123's would be sweet. Sadly there is no link to anything so who knows.

Is it just me, or does a 2200 mah 6.6v pack sound like a waste of time? How many applications can it fill? 5 cell on road racing on a short track for a small number of laps is about all I can think of.

Are these the smaller A123 cells that are the same size as an 18650? 18mm x 65mm long?
Anyone have a link to the specs on these?
I also wonder what's inside the new Dewalt 18 volt lithium line? They are advertising 2.4 amp hour capacity which isn't really in line with the other A123 cells they use in the 36 volt batteries.

I have a couple of the VPX packs with the 1100mah cells. A 2s2p would be a nice small pack for cars but it's nothing to get excited about imo if that is what they have done.
They really really need to do a sub-c size.... or a "brick" lipo style cell

I am fairly sure the guy in the other thread means some kind of brand new unreleased brick style cell but he hasn't provided any links or reference to where hegot his info so it is fairly useless info until he does.

Man, a brick pack would be wayyyy better! Much better use of available space without the waste from the area between the round cells. I've been waiting for prismatic cells from them before I switch over...
