Angry servo choices - 09.14.2005, 07:00 PM

I have broke another servo. What do you all run? I want something to hold up better. Any suggestions. I have an gmaxx so it takes a standard size. Thought about making a plate and going 1/4 scale.

Peace!

Hmmm... that link did not work real well, just went to the Hitec sight and not the specific servo.:o Anyways, the hitec part# is 35955J the J designation is the model with the futaba connector S for JR, Airtronics, and Hitec.

"Hitec servo engineers take a giant leap forward with the creation of the powerhouse HS-5955TG servo. This digital, programmable servo has been designed for the most demanding hobby applications and features a titanic 333oz./in. of torque at 6.0 volts. All this power is harnessed by incorporating the Worlds first Titanium gears for incredible wear resistance and strong hardened steel gear pins and axial brass bushing in the servo case. "

It sounds awesome. You wouldn't happen to know damage woud you? I have spent enough to get a good servo. 30 a pop for 4 pops. I feel like a sucker to a point. Live and learn. Thanks alot papa.

You get what you pay for papa. Look at the ue cvds. I would much rather pay the extra. I know i won't have to pay it again soon. Just my opinion.

I am fairly certain that you'll need a digital receiver to take advantage of all this servo has to offer. Mike shows thisHitec 5945 in his online store. Check with him and see if he can get the other.

I may wait. I may get a digital reciever with one of my projects coming. I see what hitec says to. email has been sent. I post the answer for you papa. Then both of us will be wiser to the servo scene. I got a pieced together one for now. Hopefully it will hold.

You don't need a digital receiver to run a digital servo. any receiver will work. I have the hitec TG servo in my v2 g-revo. It turns 40 series on grass while stopped with no trouble. I have been tresting it before stocking them. I will have them next week. Same price as Tower.

Hey that is cool mike. I can wait. Thanks for the info to. Okay I have to wait and put another order in with you. I need first gear bottom shaft gear to mike with some steel idlers. What about the 7020 contorller as well. I could use one of them.
