Cheapest Shipping method to Cali from Canada.

Hoping to attend the RC Speed Challenge.. but I need to find the cheapest shipping method possible to California...
I quoted Purolator... and for 150 Lbs, it's gonna cost $200... one way...

that's gonna be an expensive trip.. Already gonna pay $800 for the flight and hotel... another $400 for shipping is a lot of cash....

Id say find a Mailboxes etc or something like that in Detroit and drive it over the border and ship it and recieve it from there. It'll save you both shipping time to cut customs out of the picture and domestic shipping is alot chaeper too. Just make sure that they can recieve things for you and you can pick it up for the return trip.

UPS website won't do the shipping calculations... I've tried quite a few times...

Wow... UPS from Detroit to Corona is $140 each way....

I think I'm just gonna ship the batteries... and bring the monster truck with me on the plane... I'll take it apart, box it and use lots of styrofoam to fit it inside the suitcase..
