if you're using stock shocks don't bother, get better shocks, because eventually the caps will pop off. If you have aftermarket shocks, don't bother, you have plenty of room to tune with different weights of fluid, and should be able to dial in what you want with fluid viscosity.

nope, but I've blown lots of traxxas shocks, and even the racers don't change pistons, just springs and oil, what are you wanting to tune in or out of your shocks?

I have had my emaxx for 6 years or better now (supermaxx) and have yet to change a piston. I can tell you if you are going with heavier fluid, the RPM's may be nice and drill the holes a tad bigger. From what I hear, this works well. But, like I said, I have yet to ever change a piston unless I was rebuilding the whole shock after a few years.

I want to get more dampning and cushion but stay cheap. I have RCBros progressive springs also.
I had stock shocks on a heavier 3906 E-Maxx for two years and used Poerline springs on 4 and stock on 4. Not sure what oil vis it was. Is had allot more cushion on bigger jumps.
