Cell packs on B/L-ESC (9920) - 09.07.2005, 12:36 PM

I have never had a B/L setup before and just intrested how I get 2 packs on.

I guess I just need to solder something like this to the 9920:

Correct? If possible could some of you post your ESCs up just so I can see how it goes.

Another question is, if I wanted to run more than 14 cells, instead of soldering 1 more cell on each pack, is there any tricks I can do to make a "2 cell" pack, so I would have 2x7cell packs and if I wanted to run 16, just connect 2 more cells like a seperate pack?

Thanks.

That picture is correct.

A 2 cell pack may be a bit of a nuisance. You'd have to charge it separately (or connect just as you would on your vehicle and charge it w/ your packs), then you need to secure it to your ride separately, finally you're exposing yourself to cell imbalance if you don't use them every time. Of course If you have a conditioner that point is more or less moot.

Sounds like a lot of trouble. I personally would solder 'em up and 'forged about it.'
