Which one do I need? - 06.05.2008, 09:53 AM

I just ordered the Neu front cover without knowing which one I need for my Tekno RC 1515 1Y/F. I chose the 4mm instead of the .25" brake spacer. I emailed Mike but I have not received any reply yet.

Did I make the right choice? Please let me know which one I need.

If you are not using mechanical brakes you got the right one... but iirc the tekno version of the neu was sealed and didn't need one...

You won't need one with the Techno Neu.

Okay thanks a lot. I'll just email Mike to cancel that order then.

yeah, I have THAT motor, and it's sealed, so you only need this if you're going with mech brakes. but WHERE did you find the brake spacer?? I just can't find it!!

do you need a front cover?? i ordered a back cover, but im going to be using a 1512 2d s ordered from castle, does it help and does it just push up the temperatures?

also, is there any way to get heatsinks to fit the neu motors? as ive not seen any around... ive got a feigao style one but that obviously wont fit (or will it??? :))

The non-tekno neu motors have holes in front as well as back. If the front holes are exposed when the motor is mounted then a cover will be a good idea esp. in dirty environments. 540 size heatsinks should work. I use the integy heatsink/fan combo on my 1515 but not really sure if it helps any.
