Neu 1512 2.5D Vs 9xl - 05.23.2008, 12:57 PM

I am going to purchase the Neu as soon as Mike gets them back in stock. My question is this...the Neu is 2050Kv while the 9xl is 1850kv, even though the Neu is more kv and spins faster would I see about the same runtime with both assuming the setups, were the same..(MM esc w/ 4s)..due to the efficiency of the Neu? Just curious.

Well if you geared for the same speed, you would probably get at least 10% more runtime. I'm guessing the neu motors peak at greater than 90% efficiency whereas the feigao motors cant be more than 80% efficient.

2.5d is rated @ 1650 kv
2d is rated @ 2050 kv

the run times might be comparable due to the Neus better design and you will probubly be disappointed with the performance with both motors on 4s, if 4s is your only power option go with a 1y or 1.5d

No big deal!!! I am always trying to figure out the most efficient set up that I can conjure up in my head. If I could only afford it, that's the trick. I have a couple of 5s batts sitting around and was thinking of dropping in a 1512 3D f 1700kv. Compared to the 4s 9xl set up , it should scream and give me long run times....hummmmmm
