i buy a used mmm and the previous guy run the esc with a external bec(cc)the mmm run great hand powerfull so far..now i would like to remove the external bec i dont need anyway.....if the esc run without issue from the out of the box to now..its seem that the esc past the TEST( 3,5 hours of hard running)with a external bec....im just scared to remove the becany idea???
IMO Run with ubec if thats how it worked - when CC release v2 whip off the BEC and see what happens... that way you won't be out of a controller for too long in case anything goes wrong
you think????its mean that the esc have the same risk of failure if i run without the ubec...i think that i was clear of problemif i completely understan if i buy a first gen of mmm its really better to use a external bec??
I wouldn't chance it. You know it works as-is. Who knows what would happen if you change it. Unless you like trading the known (and working) for the unknown (and possible breakage).
Like Arct1k said, run it as is for now until CC fixes the issues and are cought up with repairs and making new ones. Then, use the internal BEC.
ok,masterlike you said... im gonna run the mmm with the bec...until cc fix the problem(I think they found the problem)can i ship the esc to cc for change the bad component ????
I have learned my lesson many times of not screwing with things that are working for you, but I do have a 1st gen MMM I have done no mods to and I beat it and so far no hiccups....:-)...but I am thinking of going to the CC HV 85 airplane ESC and running 10s with a 1515/2y...but that is down the road I am happy with my present setup...if I fry my MMM it might happen sooner than later....
i want to remove,,not for the overweight...im tired of some wire every where in my maxx...the mmm was built for that no external bec high voltage set-up,no more wire.juste a esc thats it...
Im running a ext. bec off mine and until batch 2 comes out and all the bugs are fixed it will stay connected just so I don't have to push my buggy around the track
