Track Ideas? - 07.22.2008, 10:07 PM

Hello all, I want too build a track in the back yard.

I need some ideas for a faster paced layout for 1/8 buggy's and truggy's.

If anyone has any pics of local tracks or even a sketch please post em' up.

I have lots of room too work with so space isn't a concern.

thanks for the help.

The pictures are midway down the page.

Its the closest track to me and looks like a ton of fun. It just opened recently, so I'll be heading over there when I get a chance.

I like that big one,15' lanes you could use that for dirtbikes.
I was thinkin 30x50 5-7' lanes.

I built a track at the house that is 60' X 50' and it is not big enough for 1/8. I'm looking to go something along the lines of 130' X 80'.

I was thinking something like this 50x70. That would give me 5'-7' lanes.

What do you think?

The grey areas would be concrete, because I'm in a wheelchair it will make it easier to upright a flipped car(bad driver).

The redish color would be jumps, burms, woops etc...

I also want to put up a small workshop with a balcony for a drivers stand. That way Wheelchair lift stays inside out of the weather,my dirty cars stay out of the house and I have a new hideout to get away from the wife.

IMO that track would get a bit boring after a while as its mostly straight aways. If I was to make a track in my yard I would include some more techical stuff like more switchbacks and jumps w/ short run ups, or something like that to really test my skill and improve driving.
