What do I need for my new 8ight race roller - 08.29.2008, 07:54 PM

I already have the new losi e-conversion kit back ordered... but I was wondering what hop ups, if any I need and what spare parts should be in the tool box. I will be racing on a hard packed dirt track, she will get my Neu 1.5d or my Medusa v2 2000 as the power plant with a 4s lipo config. I don't want to go crazy with stuff, but I want to be reliable and have the necessary parts on hand for quick fixes!

Thanks!!

A-arms, tie rods and tie rod ends, hub carriers if not aluminum, x-tra shock springs and shock oil, shock rebuild kit f+r, lots of body clips, wheel nuts and hubs in case one gets stripped, screw kit for your buggy.

Just a start....you will collect more !

full set of arms or just fronts? are the aluminum steering parts worth the upgrade or just snag an extra plastic set? Who is the cheapest etailer for losi parts and hopups?

I bash quite hard, and I haven't broken anything but the front bumper so far. The 8ight is a very tough buggy. But it can never hurt to have spares... the ones magman said are great for a start.

so far the only thing I needed to change on my buggy is the shock seals...the 8 is a really durable buggy. You can find all the parts at www.losipartshouse.com they seem to have very good prices and fast shipping.

I have a full set of arms for my mugen...I have broken 1 front...I hit a rock testing my new BL conversion doing about 40. As far as aluminum parts go..I look at it this way..if it is a HIGH stress point than I change to AL. Remember, AL adds weight over the plastic and the plastic parts are a lot cheaper.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.php/cPath/1_24...they have quite a few parts...

the 8ight is really tough in my opinion.

Personally I'd get front arms, the full shock services parts box (#LOSA5418), diff fluids, and an array of spare bearings.

I haven't bent driveshafts, turnbuckles or anything else. I've had issues with shock parts breaking or getting lost and shocks leaking.

Holy feces! That's really expensive...

I suggest Avid revolutions for almost everything except for the center diff which I suggest all rubber sealed. www.AvidRC.com
