that is a reciever pack, and yes, it will replace the bec, or actually, a bec eliminates the need for a reciever pack.

Get a good pack, or even a 2 cell lipo and a regulator. After using a good 5 amp bec a rx pack just cannot compare. I am using one in my LST and it is almost dead after every run. Time to swap out for a ccbec. I may just power the servos off the bec, and leave the rx pack for the MMM and the rec. Cooking 2 stock servos is not so bad, but a 150 dollar esc and a 100 dollar servo would suck...
