Shoes are fine. Slicks for road use, and tread for offroad.

I don't know how he did it, but for a similar effect, you can spray the paint on and while it's still wet take some bunched up plastic wrap or a bunched up plastic bag and pat the wet paint fairly lightly. After spray a different color. It looks like he used a metallic-ish red with a silver under it and a candy blue with silver under it.

yup new shoes are nice how about 5 pairs thats all i did today and i have about 3 more pairs coming. now let me tell you i hate gluing tires

what tires are those on the buggy? they look like they would be awesome on that farm dirt we race on.
