Crt.5 extended chassis and servos - 11.12.2008, 02:35 PM

Do I have to use fullsize servos on the Ofna extended or RCM extended chassis or can I mount the current miniservo without extensive modding ?
(IŽd like a larger chassis but dont have funds for a new servo just yet)

I am not sure about the RCM extended chassis, but I know on the Ofna extended chassis, that there are no mounting holes for the mini servo; unless you drill them yourself that is...

The RCM chassis is drilled for standard servos. You could probably rig something up, but even a $40 standard servo would be a lot better than a mini.

E-CRT.5 Monster - RCM chassis, MM/Medusa 50x3300/3s, truck tires, 1/8 shocks
E-CRT.5 Stock - Sidewinder/4600/2s, buggy tires
E-8ight - Tekin RX8 2000kv/4S
E-8ight T- Tekin RX8 1700kv/5S

I agree. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=JSP20071 This is actually a kick butt servo for around $35 at my LHS. Better than any mini servo thats for sure. You could probably ell your used mini servo if its in decent condition and get enough to buy one of these.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
