Any, more than 2-pole motor, size (lenght) ~70mm or bigger.
Medusa or Castle NEU would be great choises in price-quality relation.

What voltage are you running? The Castle Neu is a good choice for 4s but for anything higher I would go with the Medusa line as you can get a lower kv. 70mm will be more than adequate for a truggy. I just ordered a 36-70-1600 to run in my E-Revo on 5s as it's the closest I can get to my 1515 2.5D without dropping another $260!

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

it kicks ass with 5s lipo, runs a little warm might be too much for racing, you can run with 6s but except for speed runs it is too much speed

1y on 4s seems to be a hot ticket for racing tho.

So mech brakes better or slipper diff? I m caught in between both, it's quite costly to change to slipper diff

actually running no brakes at all, I have learned how to drive pretty well with out them , I am not a racer I do all my running in large areas such as athetic fields and areas of the desert I have found. I noticed I hardly ever used the brakes with my MMM so I thought why not just use an ESC that doesnt have brakes and will stay a lot cooler and that is what I have done. After a 20 mins of hard running the motor and ESC are barely warm the batteries are the warmest component....I cant believe how much cooler it runs versus a 5 or 6s system
